LA CASA DE LOS ARTISTAS

Recurso 1

Neeus was born in the city of La Victoria in Aragua, Venezuela. As a child, he listened to all types of music, and he cites Michael Jackson as one of his biggest inspirations. On the Anglo side, Neeus was inspired by artists like Bruno Mars and Kanye West, while on the Latin side, he was listening to Daddy Yankee and Arcángel.

Through his time in school, he learned how to play the drums and the guitar. It was on the streets of La Victoria that Neeus also discovered his talent of beatboxing. During fierce freestyle battles, he would supply the rappers with beats from his mouth. He soon used his beatboxing reputation to start creating his own music and then moved from making beats with his mouth to making beats on his computer. In his own bedroom, Neeus was producing and recording his songs on his computer with a cheap microphone, but he never let that deter his drive to become an artist. In 2021, he started to release his self-produced songs like “Eres una Piedra,” and “Qqqq” which span influences of trap, reggaeton, and R&B music. Further hits followed like “Mente Sucia” and the personal “Como Yo,” which set up Neeus as one of Venezuela’s rising stars. His songs and music videos have amassed hundreds of thousands of views on streaming platforms and YouTube. Though he has an urban flow, Neeus can fit his voice into any genre and make it sound fresh. “I don’t like to put a genre label on my music. My music is simply Neeus. I have my own flow and I make music my way. I don’t like to be boxed into one genre,” he says.
